Viewing an EditionKey certificate on OpenSea
What the OpenSea certificate link shows, when an NFT Certificate appears in a wallet profile, and why viewing is not the same as listing it for sale.

What the OpenSea button does
The “View Certificate on OpenSea” button opens the same EditionKey NFT Certificate on a third-party OpenSea page. EditionKey does not upload a second certificate to OpenSea.
OpenSea reads the certificate from Base using its contract address and permanent Token ID, then reads the public metadata URI for the name, image, description and attributes.
Before and after claim
Before claim, the NFT Certificate can remain in the EditionKey platform wallet, so it will not appear as an item owned by the collector’s wallet.
After an approved claim transfers the certificate, OpenSea can associate it with the receiving wallet. Indexing may take time, and a legitimate transferred certificate can sometimes appear under the wallet profile’s Hidden status.
Viewing does not mean listed for sale
An OpenSea item page is a public view of chain data. Its existence does not mean the certificate is listed, offered for sale, endorsed by OpenSea or given a market value.
EditionKey does not automatically list NFT Certificates for sale. Any later marketplace action would require authorization from the wallet that controls the certificate.
If the certificate is not visible yet
First use the EditionKey Card page and BaseScan links to confirm the contract address, Token ID, transaction and current custody state. These checks remain useful even while a third-party index is delayed.
On OpenSea, make sure the correct wallet and Base network item are being viewed, then check the Hidden status. Never enter a private key, seed phrase or recovery phrase to make a certificate appear.
Keep the physical-card context
OpenSea is an external display and marketplace service; it is not the EditionKey Registry and does not verify physical possession of the matching card.
Use the EditionKey Card page to compare the Card ID, Certificate No., edition, registered media, status and lifecycle with the physical collectible.
