Before you claim

A claim is available only when EditionKey has a claimable card or certificate record. Purchase-bound claims are tied to the original purchase contact sent to EditionKey by a trusted sales channel after payment succeeds.

A wallet is not required. The primary path records your verified email account as the registered certificate owner under EditionKey platform custody. A Base wallet is optional only when you choose to release an already-minted NFT Certificate on-chain.

My Cards and linked cards

Use My Cards as the signed-in path for your cards and certificates. EditionKey shows cards linked to your verified email. A valid email invitation can verify that email and sign you in for one hour.

My Cards is not a general Card ID search result. It does not show cards simply because someone typed a public Card ID; it relies on a verified email match.

Why you received a claim email

If you purchased a physical card through an external sales site, that site can send the matching Card ID and your purchase email or phone to EditionKey after payment succeeds. EditionKey then sends a certificate claim invitation for the matching NFT Certificate.

The email is not a wallet private key, not the NFT Certificate itself, and not ETH or a platform token. Its secure link verifies the original purchase email and opens My Cards; it does not automatically claim or transfer a certificate.

Shop checkout claims

If you buy a physical card in the EditionKey Shop, EditionKey assigns the exact Card Unit only after the Stripe payment succeeds. That successful payment creates the claim eligibility and sends the claim email to the checkout contact.

My Cards may show the physical card as pending shipment, shipped, pending pickup or picked up while the digital certificate remains not minted, pending or waiting for claim. These are separate statuses.

How the email link works

A valid secure email link verifies the original purchase email, signs that email in for one hour and opens My Cards.

Opening the link does not claim or transfer a certificate. Explicit platform-custody receipt is completed in My Cards; wallet binding is optional.

This limited My Cards claim session cannot change the purchase contact or view cards linked to another email.

  • Check that the link opens an EditionKey domain.
  • Confirm the Card ID matches the physical card you purchased.
  • Confirm platform receipt only for the verified account email.
  • If releasing to a wallet, review the complete receiving address before confirming.

Expiry and resend

Claim links expire after 7 days by default. An expired link cannot continue the claim flow, but expiry does not automatically cancel the underlying purchase eligibility.

If the link expires, the expired-link page can ask for your purchase email or phone and show a generic success message. If the contact matches an unclaimed eligible card, EditionKey sends a new claim link to the original purchase contact.

Once signed in, receive an eligible certificate directly into platform custody from My Cards without binding a wallet.

The public Card page does not offer an active resend button in the first release because someone who is not the buyer could use a Card ID to trigger unwanted email or SMS messages to the real buyer.

A received platform-custody certificate can be transferred to another email through a separate acceptance invitation. Once released to a personal wallet, EditionKey cannot move it again without that wallet's authorization.

Claim workflow

For purchase-bound receipt, open the valid email link, enter My Cards and confirm EditionKey platform custody. The registered owner changes to your verified email account without an on-chain wallet transfer.

Some exceptional or manually submitted claims may still require admin review before transfer or status completion.

  • Use the same Card ID as the physical item.
  • Verify the record before submitting.
  • Confirm the account email and Card ID are correct.
  • Remember that after transfer to a personal wallet, EditionKey cannot move the NFT Certificate again without that wallet's authorization.

Transfer to another email

The current registered owner can send a platform-custody transfer invitation to any email, including an address that has not registered yet. Ownership stays with the sender until the designated recipient explicitly accepts.

Pending invitations can be resent or cancelled. Completed transfers appear in private My Cards history and the public timeline using a public nickname or anonymous platform-user code; full emails are never public.

Owner display

Public pages distinguish the registered certificate owner, custody method and on-chain holder. Platform users appear by an approved public nickname or stable anonymous alias; chain addresses are truncated. None of these facts automatically proves physical custody.

EditionKey is a registry and certificate system. It is not a trading marketplace, investment adviser, broker, exchange, or promise of asset value.
