How to use the glossary
Use this glossary when a public page, registry asset, claim workflow or admin review screen shows a term that needs context.
Status labels are intentionally conservative. Pending means work is not complete; it does not mean a hidden promise.
Important interpretation rules
Chain owner does not automatically equal physical holder. Indexed Only does not equal endorsement. NFT Certificate does not equal investment product.

Certificate No.

image2 Decoration
An approved decorative background or border asset that must not contain certificate facts, logos, signatures, card photos, wallets or chain fields.
NFT Certificate
The physical card's digital certificate associated with an EditionKey record, not an investment product.

Claim Email
An EditionKey invitation sent to the original purchase contact; its secure link signs that email in to My Cards but does not automatically claim or transfer a certificate.
Claim Link
A secure invitation link that verifies the original purchase email and opens My Cards, valid for 7 days by default.
Expired Link
A claim link that can no longer continue the claim flow; the expired-link page may let the buyer request a resend with generic success text.
Email Invitation Session
A one-hour signed-in My Cards session created after a valid email invitation verifies the original purchase email. Opening it does not claim or transfer a certificate.
Original Purchase Contact
The purchase email or phone sent to EditionKey by the trusted sales channel; resends go to this contact unless support records a reviewed correction.
Shop Theme
A sales theme for physical cards, with its own shipping and self-pickup configuration.
Card Unit
One specific physical card inventory unit with a Card ID, Certificate No. and fulfillment status.
Inventory Lock
